Regis University’s School of Pharmacy is seeking candidates for a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in the Department of Pharmacy Practice with a preferred start date during the summer of 2013. This position offers the unique combination of teaching and administrative responsibilities. It also provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative student-centered Doctor of Pharmacy program that integrates the biomedical, pharmaceutical, social administrative and clinical sciences. Individuals with pharmacy practice experience are encouraged to apply; those with expertise/interest in patient assessment, communications, or pharmacy management will be preferentially considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical skills laboratory courses and developing and delivering curricular content in their area of expertise. In addition, the faculty member will maintain an innovative scholarship program; have the opportunity to assist in administrative functions of the Department; and engage in service to the School, College, University, and community.

The School of Pharmacy uses Team-Based Learning© (TBL) as its principal pedagogy in its highly integrated curriculum. Most required courses are taught by both pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice faculty leading to learning outcomes that are highly patient-care focused while also grounded in the foundational sciences. Students become proficient in communication, problem solving and teamwork skills through everyday classroom work in TBL. The successful candidate will work in this highly collaborative teaching environment coordinating patient care skills with classroom instruction.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Qualified individuals must have a doctorate degree and an understanding of contemporary pharmacy practice. Candidates licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Colorado will also be preferentially considered.

Salary and appointment level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
