The College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is currently accepting applications for a full-time, Socio-behavioral and Administrative Pharmacy faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank and experience.
Responsibilities include teaching in the Pharm.D. and proposed Ph.D. programs, establishing an independent research track in social, behavioral and administrative pharmacy or related areas, and collaborating in existing research initiatives. Preference will be given to a candidate with a Ph.D. in social and administrative pharmacy or a closely-related discipline. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: quantitative or qualitative research methodology and analysis, health literacy and communication, curricular design and assessment, and pharmacy law and ethics.
Located on a beautiful 300-acre campus in Fort Lauderdale, NSU is the largest independent institution of higher education in Florida, the largest independent institution of higher education in the Southeast, and it is the 6th largest independent institution nationally. The university is comprised of undergraduate, graduate and professional schools including osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, optometry, allied health and nursing, medical sciences, dental medicine, law, marine biology and oceanography, business and entrepreneurship, computer and information sciences, humanities, conflict resolution, family therapy, interdisciplinary studies, education, psychology and counseling, and family programs.
NSU is also well known for innovation and quality in both traditional and distance education. The main College of Pharmacy campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with two distant sites located in West Palm Beach and Ponce, Puerto Rico. Interactive video-conferencing connects the sites.
