Research Assistant Professor:
Temple University School of Pharmacy seeks candidates for a non-tenure track, academic appointment at the rank of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences whose research focus is Medicinal Chemistry. The candidate will be working on the University’s Drug discovery Initiative based in the School of Pharmacy’s Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry and demonstrated experience in multi-dimensional lead optimization, parallel synthesis and other drug discovery enabling technologies, target validation and hit to lead optimization in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular and/or anti –cancer research. Experience with in vitro profiling of drug-like properties, cheminformatics, database development and mining, computational chemistry/molecular modeling, intellectual property management and grant writing would be an important asset. We are seeking an experienced investigator with demonstrated research excellence (a sustained track record of publications and/or research funding). The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a vigorous interdisciplinary research program. Review of applicants will continue until the position is filled.
