Academic – Professor – Assistant/Associate/Full
The College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is currently accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate/full professor in the Department of Sociobehavioral and Administrative Pharmacy. Salary is commensurate with rank and experience. Responsibilities include teaching in the Pharm.D. program as well as the Ph.D. program in the Social, Behavioral and Cultural Pharmacy track. Other responsibilities include establishing and pursuing independent research and scholarship, and collaborating in existing research initiatives. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in social and administrative pharmacy or a related discipline. Priority will be given to candidates with extramural research funding, and/or prior experience in professional pharmacy and graduate education. We are seeking individuals with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: health disparities, health literacy, cultural competency, medication use and intervention research in vulnerable and diverse populations, community-based research, health services research, and quantitative or qualitative research methodology and analysis.
Located on a beautiful 300-acre campus in Fort Lauderdale, NSU is the largest independent institution of higher education in Florida and the Southeast. NSU is also well known for innovation and quality in both traditional and distance education. The university is comprised of undergraduate, graduate and professional schools including osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, optometry, allied health and nursing, dentistry, psychology, law, business, oceanography, and other disciplines.
The main College of Pharmacy campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with two distant sites located in West Palm Beach and Ponce, Puerto Rico. Interactive video-conferencing connects the sites.
