The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and College of Education invites applicants for a co-funded, non-tenure track position at the main campus located in Athens, Georgia. Primary responsibilities of this 12 month, public service faculty position are to: (1) develop, implement and manage the longitudinal patient experience program associated with the third professional year of the doctor of pharmacy degree program for Athens-based students, and (2) facilitate elective coursework offerings within the College of Education curricula regarding medication use in students and families. Opportunities also exist to participate in additional practice experiences offered through the College of Education and College of Pharmacy outreach efforts.
Education, training, experience:
Applicants should possess a Pharm.D. degree with either a residency or comparable experience in one or more of the following areas of pharmacy practice: primary care, internal medicine, medicine subspecialty, or community. In addition to clinical competence and eligibility for pharmacist licensure in Georgia, the individuals must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, be a team player and have a constructive and cooperative approach to faculty and institutional affairs. Faculty appointment will be at the Public Service Assistant level.
