The University Of Minnesota College Of Pharmacy is seeking an experienced educator- scholar with proven administrative and leadership abilities to work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team, Division of Professional Education, and faculty to lead the Office of Experiential Education and the Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center.

The College provides substantial opportunities for the successful candidate to develop programs that foster applied/ simulated learning, promote assessment of competency mastery, and develop progressive experiential learning. Students and faculty have access to state-of-the-art facilities and educational services to develop innovative simulated experiences that prepare learners to meet the challenges of providing high quality health care in the 21st century. The Interprofessional Education & Resource Center (IERC) supports the spectrum of simulation, specializing in the integration of standardized patients, human patient simulators, and task trainers. The Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center serves to provide students an opportunity to demonstrate application of their learning. Through simulations, learners have the opportunity to repeatedly practice skills, receive immediate and specific feedback, actively reflect on their own performances, learn from their mistakes without risk, and experience clinical situations tightly integrated with their coursework.

This position is a 12-month annual renewable faculty position, which will be offered at the rank of assistant or associate professor, based upon qualifications. Department membership will be determined by the scholarly interests of the candidate. The candidate will lead a dynamic team composed of Associate Directors, Experiential Associates, Clinical Education Coordinators, and Course Directors across the dual campus. The University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy is a highly ranked program that has two campuses (Minneapolis and Duluth) connected with interactive television and other forms of technology enhanced learning. Each campus has a full complement of faculty members. The successful candidate must be willing to work fully with faculty on both campuses, and may be based on either campus.

Requirements for this position are a terminal Masters degree in Pharmacy or a related field (with residency), PhD, or Doctor of Pharmacy degree with advanced training (e.g. residency) or equivalent experience; experience in a college of pharmacy implementing innovative education strategies; a commitment to work with faculty on two campuses and to work with teams; must have strong communication skills and demonstrated expertise in leading people and complex projects; ability to work independently, creatively and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
