Job description:
The Department of Pharmacy Practice of the College of Pharmacy, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. This faculty member will establish an active, extramurally-funded research program in pharmaceutical/pharmacy outcomes or related discipline as well as participate in the classroom education of pharmacy students in their area of expertise.

Candidates will be expected to develop a research program in pharmaceutical/pharmacy outcomes or other related discipline such as pharmacoeconomics, public health, and social/administrative pharmacy. Candidates will also be expected to develop instructional material and educate students within the PharmD curriculum in topics such as pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, health-care systems, and social/behavioral aspects of pharmacy practice. Additionally, service to the College, University and profession are expectations of the position. Candidates should also be willing to collaborate with pharmacy and interprofessional faculty in scholarly activities.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
The College seeks candidates with training and expertise in pharmaceutical/pharmacy outcomes research or other related disciplines (pharmacoeconomics, public health, social and administrative pharmacy). Candidates with a research focus on health disparities among underserved populations are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates should have Doctor of Philosophy in a related discipline or Doctor of Pharmacy with research fellowship training or Master’s degree in a related discipline. Candidates with teaching experience and a strong interest in interprofessional education are highly desirable. Candidate should have evidence of or a strong potential for independent or collaborative scholarly activity. Excellence in verbal and written communications, teamwork, organization, time management and critical thinking are also essential components for success in this position. Further details:
