The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Harding University’s newly established College of Pharmacy invites applications for full-time, 12-month, pharmacy practice faculty positions at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Positions are immediately available. These individuals will have the distinctive and stimulating opportunity to participate in the development of pharmacy practice didactic and experiential curricula with a focus on Christian education. Harding University is a private Christian institution of higher education chiefly supported by the fellowship of the churches of Christ. Located in Searcy, Arkansas, 50 miles northeast of Little Rock, the campus is comprised of 44 building on 200 acres near the foothills of the Ozarks. Recreational opportunities abound in Arkansas’ many state parks, living up to the state’s motto – the natural state.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Faculty positions are currently available. All will be responsible for creating and delivering instruction in the pathophysiology, pharmacotherapy, and patient-centered care didactic curricula, developing and maintaining an innovative clinical practice in a chosen field at the practice site; conducting scholarly activity in the faculty's area of expertise; and engaging in service to the college, university, and community. The college is partnering with local hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies to establish clinical practice opportunities. Applicants with specialized clinical backgrounds will be considered. Candidates with expertise in internal medicine, pediatrics or critical care are encouraged to apply. Faculty members are expected to become part of the interprofessional teams at their practice sites, and to accept accountability for the medication therapy outcomes of the patients they serve. Qualified applicants will possess a Pharm.D. as well as residency/fellowship training. At least two years of academic experience is preferred. Eligibility for pharmacy licensure in Arkansas is required. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to Christian education.
