Asst or Assoc Prof of Pharmacy Practice in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research

TEACHING the faculty member will be expected to participate in instruction of Pharm.D. students in required courses focusing on the areas of pharmacoeconomics, health care policy, literature evaluation, and/or pharmacy administration. The development of an elective course for Pharm.D. students may also be required. The faculty member will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor in professional clerkships or graduate studies.
SERVICE Faculty are expected to serve on college or university committees and to contribute to the missions of Oregon State University and the Oregon Health & Science University.
SCHOLARSHIP Faculty are expected to engage in peer-reviewed scholarship. The faculty member will be expected to develop a vigorous research program appropriate to her/his qualifications and interests. Opportunities for collaborative research exist within the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy.
Education, training, experience:
Required Qualifications: Applicants should possess a clinical doctorate (e.g. PharmD, MD) or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate related discipline with an emphasis in pharmacy or pharmaceutical outcomes research, or related research discipline (such as clinical economics, drug policy, public health, pharmacy administration, or pharmacoepidemiology). Clinician applicants should also possess a two-year fellowship in a related field or have equivalent experience (e.g. Master's degree in related field). Potential for conducting research/scholarship is required. Teaching and research experience and proficiency in oral and written English are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in conducting independent or collaborative research as evidenced by grants and /or publications. Post-doctoral experience in an appropriate field is preferred for Ph.D. applicants. Candidates with a pharmacy degree are preferred. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
