The UCSF School of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Pharmacy is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Associate/Full Professor of Clinical Pharmacy level with expertise in pharmacy administration, systems management, continuous quality improvement and medication safety. The successful candidate will be integrated into the Department’s academic and clinical service programs, and is expected to participate in clinical teaching, practice, and research activities, and in the governance of the Department, School, and University. Teaching responsibilities will include both didactic and experiential education in the PharmD program and preceptorship of pharmacy residents and fellows. Clinical service activities will focus on pharmacy administration and systems management, quality improvement and medication safety in the ambulatory care, acute care, and/or community pharmacy setting, as appropriate to the candidate’s training and experience. The candidate will also work with the Department’s Medication Outcomes Center and collaborate with the UCSF Medical Center on initiatives in continuous quality improvement, medication safety and pharmacy and systems management.

Minimum Qualifications:
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with advanced degree
• Successful completion of postgraduate training (e.g., residency, fellowship) or equivalent professional experience
• California licensure as a pharmacist (or eligible for licensure within 6 months)
• Demonstrated leadership in quality improvement, medication safety, pharmacy and systems management, as demonstrated by previous work experience and scholarly publications
• Evidence of excellent administrative, teaching, communication, and clinical skills
• Strong potential for academic advancement as evidenced by research or other creative accomplishments
