Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (CPHS) is seeking candidates for the position of Chair, Department of Clinical Research. The successful candidate will oversee a department of 14 full/part-time faculty and staff that offer the Bachelor and Master of Science in Clinical Research as well as administer the joint Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of Science in Clinical Research program. The department also houses the CPHS Clinical Research Center (CRC) which provides resources to support clinical studies conducted within the CPHS. The CRC has the additional mission to support the collaboration of Campbell University with government, pharmaceutical, academic and hospital/medical institutions in the conducting of patient-oriented research.

Campbell University is a Christian institution of higher education located in Buies Creek, North Carolina, about thirty miles south of Raleigh and about fifty miles from Research Triangle Park and Durham, North Carolina. The Department of Clinical Research is headquartered in Research Triangle Park and conducts instruction at this campus and the Buies Creek campus.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D. or MD) and be eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and who have a significant record of scholarship in clinical research. Prior experience with departmental administration and knowledge of collaborative practice agreements involving academia, industry and/or clinical research organizations would be highly desirable.
