Job description:
The Oregon State University College of Pharmacy seeks one individual for a full-time, 12-month, Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical track) of Pharmacy Practice in Adult or Family Medicine.
The incumbent will teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, develop a clinical practice that supports scholarship and teaching, and provide service to Oregon State University.
Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Requires PhD or terminal degree and experience in the academic discipline/unit.
Eligibility for licensure in Oregon required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
For Assistant Professor (Clinical):
Must possess a Pharm.D. degree from an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school/college of pharmacy.
A residency or fellowship training in Internal Medicine or sub-specialty is required or equivalent experience of not less than 3 years of clinical practice.
Potential for conducting research/scholarship.
Evidence of teaching capabilities and potential for excellence in teaching within the areas noted above.
Candidates must be proficient in oral and written English.
The incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal Background Check and be deemed fit for duty at placement and while serving in the position.
For Associate Professor (Clinical):
Individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed above as well as have exceptional research achievements and other relevant experience to be considered at the Associate Professor level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Board certification as a Pharmacotherapist;
Evidence of establishing and justifying a practice;
Experience in conducting independent or collaborative research as evidenced by grants and/or publications;
The ability to interact collaboratively with faculty members in other disciplines within the university is strongly desirable;
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
