Job description:
The Oregon State University College of Pharmacy seeks an individual for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics (depending on qualifications).

The successful candidate will teach Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, develop an extramurally funded research program that supports scholarship and teaching at the professional pharmacy and graduate level, and provide service to the University. This is a tenure track position based on the OSU campus in Corvallis. The successful candidate will actively participate in the education of future pharmacists and graduate students in a position that provides the freedom to develop a new and innovative teaching and research.

Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:
For both Assistant or Associate Level:
- Ph.D. or terminal degree with emphasis in Pharmaceutics/ biopharmaceutics, or complementary discipline
-A commitment to scholarship and the creation of new understanding
- A commitment to the educational mission of the College at professional, graduate and postdoctoral levels
- Collegiality in interactions with colleagues and coworkers
- Proficiency in oral and written English.

For Assistant Professor:
- At least one year postdoctoral training
- Strong potential to establish an independent extramurally funded research program
- Evidence of scholarly research accomplishments
- Strong potential for effective teaching

For Associate Professor:
- More tham two years postdoctoral training
- Evidence of having established an independent extramurally funded research program
- A significant publication record within their discipline
- Evidence of strong skills in undergraduate, professional or graduate teaching
- Evidence of collaborative and collegial interactions with professional peers
