The Appalachian College of Pharmacy (ACP) is Virginia’s only three-year Doctor of Pharmacy program. Located in Oakwood, Virginia, ACP’s mission focus is on addressing the health-related needs of rural and/or underserved populations in Appalachia.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Pharmacology: The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at ACP is seeking qualified individuals to fill a position at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Responsibilities will include teaching Pharm.D. students in the integrated, multidisciplinary foundational science courses of the curriculum including the integrated biochemistry, patho-physiology, basic and clinical pharmacology courses, providing service to the College, and maintaining an independent scholarship or research program. Participation in scholarly and research endeavors as well as service to the College and community are encouraged and expected.

ACP is certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. In January 2010, ACPE voted to advance ACP’s program to Full Accreditation status. ACP is an equal opportunity employer

Job Requirements
Education, training, experience:
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in pharmacology or a related discipline. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills and a commitment to student-centered education. Postdoctoral or faculty-level teaching experience and translational research experience is preferred.
