The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Ft. Worth is one of the fastest-growing academic health science centers in Texas. The University enrolls 2,700 professional and graduate students in the fields of public health, medicine, biomedical science, pharmacy, physical therapy, and physician assistant studies. The University is well-positioned for rapid expansion, matching the growing population and economic vitality of the DFW Metroplex. At this time, the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Texas Christian University (TCU) are launching a new allopathic (MD) medical school. This effort will establish the UNTHSC as one of the few campuses in the U.S. to support both an allopathic and an osteopathic college of medicine.
